[It wasn't the first day he'd arrived, but it was damn close. It's the next morning and Takashi is resting on the bed beside him.

He smiles and flips over to the video feature.

Time to contact the people he cares about.]

[Shiro had texted, and Will is...really grateful for that. One less thing to fret about. He's already awake -- paleblood means weird vivid dreams and not much sleep -- but his sleepy face lights up at the sight.]

Hey! [His voice is hushed; Mike and everyone are still asleep.] You're -- really back!

[saltyadam]

[Adam's smile widens.]

Yes. I'm really back. From what Takashi tells me I was gone for a few months, but for me it was just... I saw you all a few minutes ago. It's a little hard to wrap my head around.

But it's also not important. [Not right now anyway.]

It's really good to see you again, Will. [Looking well even, if a little tired.]

[deadboywalking]

Really? [Will hesitates for a moment, some of the tension leaving his shoulders.] I'm...glad you didn't have to miss us for...for very long. [He'd rather be the one to deal with it, to walk through the loneliness.]

You too. You look...the same? [Isn't that what you're supposed to say when you're reunited with someone?]

[saltyadam]

I'm sorry if you had to miss me at all.

[A short laugh.] I should. I haven't aged a second since the last time you saw me.

[And then he realizes--]

Wait, why are we talking quietly?

Oh, uh, Marshmallow's sleeping. [A pause.] And so's Mike. [Mention the demon horse before the human, gotcha.]

[saltyadam]

[Adam's eyebrows fly up. What-- how does one respond to this.

Let's start with the easier one.]

Marshmallow's sleeping.. in your house?

[deadboywalking]

[Will looks mildly offended.] Yeah, it's cold outside. He's my Omen. [Which of these is a better reason, William?]

[His smile is a little tight because all of this is definitely fine and normal]

Apologies Will, I'm still pretty new to the idea of Omens.

Yeah, it takes a little while to get used to. But Marshmallow was around before, so it's a little easier, right?
