"It's really not a big deal..." Will doesn't have it in him to disobey anyone -- much less an adult and a (presumably also adult) talking truck -- so he hops over to sit on the lowest step, gingerly. Is this like sitting on someone's foot? Maybe? Probably. Either way, he keeps very good posture, even though he's tiny enough that his feet swing above the ground.
